ABOUT US
After-School All-Stars NJ is seeking experienced, highly-skilled, energetic, and committed leaders to join our youth (grades K-8) enrichment team. We are engaging, fast-paced, and collaborative.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- -Provide quality instruction in a special skill
- -Work collaboratively with the Program Team
- -Prepare supplies, materials, & other items
- -Effective, safe, positive classroom management
- -Maintain positive professional relationships
- -Supervise scholars; no student alone, no 1-1 interactions
- -Commit to shift
- -Develop & accurately implement lesson plans
- -Attend & actively participate in PDs, workshops, & meetings
- -Assist in planning end-of-session culminating events
- -Track & monitor attendance
- -Collect & maintain accurate data, ensuring on-time submission
2.75-6 HOUR SHIFT (depending on site placement):
- M, T, Th, F: 2:45-6:00 PM, WED: 12:00-6 PM

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Eligible to work in the US with children; clear fingerprint, background, & TB checks
-Some post-secondary study
-Availability for schedule without conflict
-2+ years of formal (non-family) experience with children in large group instructional, coaching, or camp settings
-Love working with & passion for working with Newark youth
-Strong classroom management skills
-Effective communication & response to critically urgent incidents
-Ability to positively & actively respond to feedback
-Excellent organization & basic software skills
-Compliance with company, site, school, & district policies
-EXPERTISE IN (but not limited to):
- American Sign Language
- Animation/ Graphic Design/ Visual Arts
- Carpentry & 3D Creation
- Culinary Arts
- DJing, Music Production
- Financial Empowerment
- Fashion Design: Sewing, Crocheting, etc.
- Gardening
- Hair/Skin Care
- Martial Arts
- Music Production/ DJing
- Sports, Fitness, Wellness
- Performing Arts: Music, Dance, Theater, etc.
- Photography/Videography
- STEM/ Weird Science
- ETC.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-3+ years of formal childcare experience in large group instructional, or camp settings
-Experience creating and implementing lesson/activity plans
-Strong cultural competency and/or connection
-Familiarity with school-aged youth development principals
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 17 – 18 per week
