Are you passionate about empowering families and nurturing young children's growth? The Short Years Partnership is thrilled to announce a rewarding opportunity for a Family Support Home-Visiting Parent Educator in our Parents as Teachers Program.
This full-time position will serve Warren and Marion County.

Short Years Partnership is committed to providing unwavering support to families on their parenting journey. Our Parents as Teachers Program, an evidence-based model, strives to create lasting impacts by offering personalized home visits to families until their child is kindergarten-ready.
Position Highlights:
As a Family Support Professional, you will be at the heart of our mission, making a profound impact on the lives of families in Central Iowa. You will:
- Conduct customized home visits, fostering trusting relationships with parents.
- Share your child and parent development knowledge, offering information, support, and encouragement.
- Showcase inclusivity by respecting the diverse needs of families.
- Coordinate group events and represent our program at community engagements.
- Collaborate within a dedicated team, attending meetings and continuous training opportunities.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma and at least two years of supervised experience with young children or parents.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including email, internet, and word processing.
- The drive to adapt to computer-based record keeping.
- A heart for learning - you'll attend a 2-week virtual training within your first two months.
Preferred Experience:
While not required, a bachelor's degree in early childhood, education, or social work can set you apart, along with supervised experience in home visitation settings, classroom teaching, or group facilitation.
