Family Solutions is a compassionate and dedicated non-profit organization specializing in providing critical therapeutic services for children and families for the past 23 years. We are actively seeking Family Support Specialists and Behavioral Health Counselors to join our mission-driven and growing Family Support Team.

About Our Family Support Team

Members of our Family Support Team assist clients and families in bringing skills learned in the therapy room into their natural environment. Utilizing a skill-building and case management lens, you will support clients in our clinic, at home, in school, and in the community. We strive to provide you with the opportunity to use your interests and talents as you mentor and coach children, youth, and their families.

Key Responsibilities and Division of Time

50-55% providing clinical services including:

  • Providing skill building, psychoeducation, and comprehensive community support to clients in schools, community, and homes.
  • Collaborating with other treatment team members on the development of individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic techniques, with a focus on trauma-informed care.
  • Collaborating closely with caregivers, foster parents, and others to provide wrap-around support to the child.
  • Evaluating treatment progress and adapting therapeutic approaches as needed.
  • Acting as liaison between school, treatment team, and family to broadly promote behavioral health, wellness, and school success for client.

45-50% administrative time including:

  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration with other professionals to ensure holistic care for clients.
  • Participating in clinical supervision, case discussions, and team meetings.
  • Staying current with best practices and innovations in the area of child development and mental health treatment through ongoing professional development.
  • Managing a varied caseload and meeting monthly direct service hour requirements.
  • Traveling to various community locations to meet clients and support them in getting needs met.

Qualifications

  • Lived experience or formal education, including Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Current or eligibility for State of Washington certification as a Registered or Certified Agency-Affiliated Counselor.
  • Desire to provide trauma-informed, client-centered, behavioral health services.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with vulnerable youth and their families.
  • A commitment to health equity, particularly by serving diverse populations, participating in building an inclusive culture within our organization, and promoting conversations about equity and social justice within our community and the mental health field.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Adherence to ethical guidelines and strict confidentiality standards.
  • Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children.

The posted pay range encompasses the broad array of positions available. For a candidate to receive the highest end of our compensation range, they will meet or exceed all the skills and knowledge required for this position. We are also committed to developing new clinicians and for these candidates we will offer the position at the lower range, but also present a pathway for how we will invest in you so your compensation may increase.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
