FMO Market Hub Staff
Farmer’s Market of the Ozarks is looking for a tenacious, friendly, independent and collaborative, communicative, self-motivated person who is dedicated to our mission!

We are looking for a dynamic market hub staff member excited to create a value added experience at market for vendors and customers alike. Promotional and event experience is highly valued as well as experience working with vendors and customer outreach. The Market Hub staff will operate FMO on market days with the Market Manager and run all market day operations, including special events, music set up, selling merchandise and assisting with PODS and membership fee collection.
6-8 hours (on-site – Saturdays 6/7am – 2/3pm) 2 to 3 Saturdays per month.
Preference is given to:
Candidate who have market experience and/or love the FMO experience!
Background/interest in Business/Agriculture and/or Marketing
Physical Requirements: Early mornings are required, Can lift/move garbage cans/boxes up to 50 pounds
Hub Staff will operate FMO on market days and with Market Manager for all market day operations including:
- Plan and execute market day events (on site) including schedule and set up of market music and execution of “CALENDAR” events/tokens of appreciation
- Weekly “live” post from market to all social media platforms
- Sign up day vendors, sponsors, and community partners each week
- SNAP sales
-Merchandise sales
INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Seeking student who possess excellent written and communication skills, knowledge of news writing, social media (Facebook & Instagram), and knowledge of local foods. This student must be outgoing, flexible, detail-oriented, have the ability to work independently or as a team and be driven with a need to succeed.
If interested in further work (internship opportunity):
- Assist Market Manager with all daily business activities
- Event planning and recruitment for weekly market and special market events
- Social media management – Two Facebook pages and Instagram with a total of over 40,000 followers, website updates and posts
- Collaborate with the Market Manager to create a new vendor education packet
- Setting up/tearing down for special events
- Other duties as assigned
HOURS: 5 – 10 hours per week (flexible work schedule) with Hub hours on Saturday additionally
