Job Summary
This 1-year Fellowship for Somatically Integrated Eating Disorder Treatment is designed for individuals passionate about working with clients who have Eating Disorders through the lens of somatics and attachment and desire to grow their clinical skills. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to work within a supportive environment, complete Tier 1 of Embodied Recovery for Eating Disorders training, receive licensure supervision (including the option of CEDS supervision), and weekly Somatically integrated consultation group with the practice owner and a cohort of three fellows.

Fellows will engage in hands-on training, mentorship, and collaborative learning experiences aimed at enhancing their clinical skills while promoting recovery and well-being in clients. At the end of the year, there will be an opportunity for full employment with Take Root Counseling and Coaching which includes a pay raise as well as ongoing licensure supervision. Once full licensure is obtained, their is a significant pay bump.

Responsibilities

  • This is a hybrid position requiring at least 2 days of in person work per week.
  • Upon securing a stable caseload with the help of the company, the employee is responsible for maintaining and conducting a minimum of 20 sessions per week on average. Clinicians can see more clients per week at their discretion and will be paid $48 per clinical hour.
  • Schedule any intakes you choose to manage yourself in Simple Practice and invite clients to complete intake paperwork via the patient portal. We also offer administrative support.
  • Complete diagnosis, treatment plans and session notes in Simple Practice within 72 hours of each session.
  • Communicate company policies to clients via intake paperwork and reinforce them in the first session and as needed.
  • Take co-pays/ payments in Simple Practice during or immediately after each session.
  • Communicate and consult with the Owner and clinical supervisor regularly regarding any high-risk cases. Complete safety plans when needed.
  • Communicate with billing representative when needed via email
  • There are basic tasks associated with credentialing. Otherwise, we do complete credentialing for you.
  • Maintain licensure required to practice counseling in the state of NC.
  • Attend weekly team meetings.

Candidate Requirements

  • Currently holding an LCMHCA or LCSWA in North Carolina
  • Excellent references (x3)
  • Passion for working with clients who have Eating Disorders through the lens of embodiment and attachment
  • Previous experience working with individuals suffering from eating disorders or similar mental health challenges is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
