Young's Environmental is seeking highly-motivated field technicians (general laborers) to join our team in Flint, Michigan!

Here's an idea of what you can expect to do -

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, procedures, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Decontamination of various structures, machinery, buildings, etc.
  • Shoveling, power washing, cleaning, sweeping, etc.
  • Confined space entry of tanks and pits
  • Be able to safely complete tasks associated with a labor-intensive position including working outside in all types of weather conditions
  • Lifting, carrying, and pulling of hoses of up to 100 pounds
  • Operate light and heavy equipment including: skid-steers, forklifts, oil spill booms and vacuum equipment
  • Assist in various Emergency Response projects
  • Completing all required paperwork on a daily basis, including daily reports, timesheets, and other administrative forms

Here is what we need from you -

  • Negative drug and alcohol test INCLUDING marijuana (pre-employment, random, etc.) per federal regulations
  • You must possess a valid driver's license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report. If you also have a chauffeur's license, that's even better!
  • Satisfactory results of a background check (and your authorization to conduct a routine background check) - offenses will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
  • Ability to pass a HAZWOPER and/or DOT physical (DOT is dependent on license)
  • Ability to handle a physical workload
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn!
