We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller who will be responsible for the accurate and timely financial management of the organization. The successful applicant will be responsible for accounting operations, production of periodic financial reports, and maintenance of accounting records.


  • Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting functions
  • Providing management with accounting information vital to business decision making process • Managing the budgeting and cash flow process
  • Filing of sales tax, city taxes and state filing requirements. Including all tax compliance functions • Working and coordinating with outside accountants for financial statement preparation, tax preparation and tax planning
  • Working with Head of IT to implement new ERP System and SAGE Intacct accounting system • Implement and maintain a system of inventory management
  • Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Invoicing
  • Analyze actual costs of company goods and services
  • Manage of the payroll function

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting • Understanding of economic principles, financial markets, and banking
  • Strong understanding of financial data analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
  • Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills • Experience with SAGE Intacct or other similar ERP systems preferred
  • Proven experience in financial project management
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel
  • Must be able to communicate financial information into sound business language for all members of the company so people of all levels can understand
  • Knowledge of federal regulation on taxes and reporting

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior-level accounting or finance manager position • Professional certification, such as CPA, CMA, or other professional designation preferred
