AROCK is a small but mighty low-voltage contractor and systems integrator specializing in upgrades, new construction, and service work for life safety systems and security. We are a certified MWBE firm focused on fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and data cabling across various sectors in the commercial space. Our main office is located in Milwaukie, Oregon, but this position will lead our efforts at our new office in Auburn, WA.
As an AROCK Fire Alarm Solutions Consultantyou will represent a full-service EST (Edwards) dealer in Washington State.
The Fire Alarm Solutions Consultant is responsible for driving sales, managing projects, and providing technical expertise in fire alarm systems. This hybrid role requires a dynamic individual who can seamlessly transition between client consultations, project oversight, and hands-on technical tasks to ensure the delivery of comprehensive fire protection solutions. This role will involve seeking out sales opportunities, co-project managing as part of the operations team, and assisting the installation team with project needs. This position is ideal for someone with a background in both sales and project management or for an experienced fire alarm technician looking to advance their career.
This role is based in the Auburn, WA area but can be considered hybrid or remote for candidates in the greater Seattle area. The sales territory covers all of Washington state, primarily along the I-5 corridor.
While the Fire Alarm Solutions Consultant will not be responsible for full system installations, having a background in technician work or programming, particularly with EST systems, is a preferred qualification.
Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by building and maintaining relationships with clients, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to showcase products and services to prospective clients.
- Develop and present sales proposals, negotiate terms, and close sales to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of fire alarm system installations and service projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
- Communicate project scopes, schedules, materials, and manpower requirements to all stakeholders.
- Technical Expertise:
- Experience with EST systems (EST3, EST4, IO100, etc) as well as Potter, Silent Knight, or equivalent
- Identify and troubleshoot fire alarm systems in commercial settings.
- Conduct system testing to ensure compliance with NFPA codes and standards.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams as needed.
