Fire Sprinkler Inspector

Fire Sprinkler Inspectors will inspect various types of water-based fire suppression systems located throughout the five boroughs of NYC in order to identify Fire Code violations and prescribe the necessary corrective actions. Inspections will include but may not be limited to weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual inspections.

Inspectors must have a friendly and professional disposition, be organized and self-disciplined, and be physically capable of walking long durations of time, climbing up and down stairs, and lifting and carrying equipment.

Qualified candidates must have their Certificate of Fitness for Citywide Sprinkler Systems and Standpipe Systems (S-12) and (S-13)!

Qualifications:

•     Requires high school diploma or equivalent

•     Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record preferred

•     Excellent customer service skills

•     Ability to accurately discern and document deficiencies found during an inspection

•     Ability to adapt to new programs and applications for uploading reports

•     Good communication and organizational skills

•     Previous experience in the fire protection industry preferred

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
