This position focuses on selling flooring to retail customers and managing the project from start to finish. The position requires interacting with customers, assisting them with product choices according to their individual needs, and handling all aspects of the process at our Bridgeville location.
Rusmur Floors Carpet One Floor & Home has long been regarded as the premier flooring retailer in the Pittsburgh, PA community. Locally owned and operated for 65 years, we are known for our superior customer service and our professional staff. As members of the largest floor covering cooperative in the world, our company offers the finest flooring products with only the most qualified installers.
The following are some of the duties and expectations that we have for this position:
- Analyze the customers' needs and present them with the best product options
- Keep up-to-date on the wide selection of floors we have to offer, along with the benefits and warranties provided by each
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Write sales orders
- Help work through and follow up after the completion of each job
- Build client relationships
- Execute targeted sales strategies
- Use a computer database to research the availability of merchandise and to process orders
- Follow up in a timely and professional manner with all customers on requests and/or concerns
- Maintain the showroom by keeping samples and displays neat, current, and clean
- Prospect for new business
The ideal candidate must be:
- Willing to divide work time between the showroom floor and prospecting for new clients (out networking within the community).
- Willing to undergo our product and sales training to become a certified flooring and design expert.
- A self-starter.
- Personally well-organized.
- Able to provide outstanding customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
Some additional qualifications include:
- Flooring or retail sales experience is preferred, but not required
- Open and flexible work availability, including Saturdays (We are closed on Sundays)
- High school degree, GED, or equivalent
- Must have access to reliable transportation to get to work, and to visit customers' homes (as necessary)
- Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs and a willingness to learn our operating systems.
- Strong math skills
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, as well as some heavy lifting.
Pay Benefits:
- Unlimited earning potential with salary + commission
