Full job description
The Las Vegas Rescue Mission is looking for a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. We are a private, faith-based organization that serves our community by offering a safe place for men and women to break the cycle of homelessness and addiction.
The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our visitors, providing excellent customer service while managing various administrative tasks. The Front Desk Receptionist must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in a professional manner with other facility staff members, Mission residents, volunteers, donors, and customers. Organization, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and think on the fly are essential in this position.
Responsibilities and Requirements
· Welcome and check in Visitors.
· Answer, screen and forward phone calls to the appropriate department.
· Receive, sort and distribute mail and deliveries to the appropriate departments.
· Maintain a clean and presentable reception area at all times.
· Assist Administrative Department with special events and other operational activities as requested.
· Display a thorough understanding of Las Vegas Rescue Mission’s operations and programming
· Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters within the company.
· Self-starter, critical thinker and problem solver. Ability to keep busy during down times.
· Take direction, communicate and collaborate effectively with others.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
· High School Education or equivalent.
. Front desk or similar experience.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the day.
· Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Reliable, consistent and self-regulating.
· Previous experience in a non-profit environment an asset.
· Previous experience working with a vulnerable population an asset.
This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, offering a competitive benefit package and paid time off.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
