We are currently seeking a dynamic and outgoing Receptionist to join our team at a Pet Savers. MUST have acustomer service background and a bonus if you have worked in either veterinary or human medicine. The ideal candidate would possess a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of our clinic. Half day Saturday shifts will be required at times for a vaccine clinic.

A veterinary receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of a veterinary clinic. We are non-profit 501(c)(3) organization driven my a mission to save animal lives through prevention. As a veterinary receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service while performing administrative tasks to support the clinic's operations. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting clients, confirming scheduled appointments, answering phone calls, managing medical records, and assisting veterinary staff as needed. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for animals AND people, excellent communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a positive attitude. You will be required to know vaccine terminology and basic spay/neuter information fairly quickly so knowledge retention and quick to learn is critical.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and their furry companions with a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to client inquiries in a professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
  • Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed
  • Handle payments and manage client invoicing
  • Work independently and efficiently, while also collaborating effectively with colleagues

Requirements:

  • 1 year min. experience in customer service and bonus if you have veterinary/human medicine (veterinary experience will get priority)
  • A self-motivated individual with the ability to think on their feet
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude
  • Good hygiene and looks professional
  • Ability to learn new tasks and information quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Team work is critical!
  • Able to high a high volume work load consistently

Schedule: Most reception staff works 4 days a week and 30-36 hrs on average.

Monday - Friday we do spay/neuter surgeries

Saturday from 10-3 we offer a public vaccine clinic (most weekends)
