Apira Technologies, Inc. (Apira) is an emerging technology company operating at the leading edge of augmented reality, computer vision, 3D rendering, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI). We are developing a suite of virtual engagement tools.

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and is excited about building and deploying full stack applications to AWS. You will work across React (TypeScript) for the frontend, Python and Node.js for the backend, and AWS for infrastructure deployment. We embrace AI-powered development tools to accelerate our work and improve quality, including Cursor, IDE, GitHub Copilot, Replit, and v0 for rapid prototyping.

Responsibilities

Develop full stack applications using React (TypeScript), Python, and Node.js
Design, build, and optimize serverless and containerized architectures on AWS
Deploy, monitor, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, DynamoDB, S3, SageMaker)
Work closely with ML engineers to integrated machine learning models into production applications
Build and enhance Windows desktop applications; Electron experience is a plus
Use AI-powered coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Replit, v0) to boost productivity and code quality
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and product planning
Ensure security and compliance are in alignment with government and defense industry standards

Required Qualifications

3+ years of full stack development experience
Strong proficiency in React (TypeScript), Python (FastAPI, Flask), and Node.js (Express, NestJS)
Experience deploying applications to AWS using CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation
Familiarity with serverless and container-based architectures (Lambda, ECS, Kubernetes)
Ability to integrate and work with machine learning models in production
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Strong knowledge of database design (SQL, NoSQL, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL)
Passion for using AI-assisted development tools like Cursor, IDE, GitHub Copilot, Replit, and v0
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a high-impact environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Current TS/SCI security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Electron for Windows desktop app development
Background in ML model deployment and MLOps
Familiarity with real-time applications and WebSockets
Knowledge of WebRTC or other video streaming technologies
Current TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
