Full Time Day Porter at Private School

We are a newly established commercial cleaning company headquartered in DFW, and we are hiring a full-time Day Porter to join our team and help us achieve the highest standards of cleanliness for a 9-building private school campus located in Colleyville, Texas (30 miles northwest of Dallas). This is a comprehensive academic campus with facilities including a gym, church, concession stand, classrooms, administrative offices, numerous bathrooms, and locker rooms. We are also hiring 4 part-time night crew positions, one of which will be a Team Lead.

Job Overview:

As a Day Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for students, parents, and staff. This includes promptly responding to cleaning requests, performing routine cleaning tasks, maintaining restrooms, managing stock of supplies, and addressing spills during lunch hours. You will also assist the facilities' maintenance department with various tasks and ride a golf cart around campus to efficiently handle support tickets and collaborate with the on-site Academy Director of Facilities. We seek a dependable individual with a positive attitude and keen attention to detail.

Duties:

• High Standards: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in designated buildings, such as bathrooms, the gym, or concession stand, ensuring all corners and crevices are free of dust and debris. Assist with these tasks when not responding to real-time requests or FMX facilities cleaning tickets.
• Campus Grounds Upkeep: Ensure the campus grounds are clear of trash and debris, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
• Lunch Hour Duties: During lunch hours 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, focus on maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, removing trash, ensuring tables are clean, and promptly addressing any spills or trash.
• Stock Management: Maintain adequate stock of paper products and other supplies.
• Routine Cleaning: Perform regular vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and other cleaning tasks.
• Restroom Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain restrooms to ensure they are spotless, well-stocked, and odor-free.
• Maintenance Assistance: Assist the facilities’ maintenance department with various tasks and requests as needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in providing high-level, top-notch cleaning services.
• Customer Service: Strong customer service focus and positive willingness to help.
• Time Management: Ability to stay busy and manage time effectively without close oversight.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail—a must!
• Communication Skills: Conversational English-speaking skills and good communication abilities.
• Work Ethic: Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Background Check: Must pass an in-depth FBI background check and fingerprinting process due to the proximity of children, ensuring the highest level of safety.
• Physical Requirements: This is a physical job. The candidate must have the physical ability to assist in moving heavy objects, perform various cleaning duties, and walk long distances.

Physical Demands:

• Perform moderate physical activities, including pulling, pushing, lifting objects up to 30 lbs., reaching, bending, and repetitive movements.
