Future Center Advisors play a vital role in helping students and families explore life-ready pathways, advancing our mission to foster community vitality and educational success. If you are energized by guiding young people toward a strong future, we encourage you to apply.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated professional who excels at building relationships with students, families, educators, and employers. You are someone who can skillfully guide middle and high school students through life-ready planning—including apprenticeships, internships, financial aid, scholarships, and future readiness—while fostering excitement, confidence, and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one advising and group workshops for students and families.
  • Plan and lead hands-on experiences such as career fairs, job shadows, college tours, and industry visits.
  • Support students with FAFSA completion, scholarship applications, and navigating post-secondary options.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with local colleges, technical schools, employers, and trade organizations.
  • Promote educational and career opportunities at school events and family/teacher conferences.
  • Manage day-to-day Future Center operations, including scheduling, responding to student inquiries, and tracking engagement.
  • Rotate between one middle and one high school, ensuring early exposure to career pathways for younger students and continued support for older students.
  • Collaborate with school district personnel and actively participate in building team meetings, trainings, and other school-based initiatives as needed.

The Ideal Candidate Will Bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or higher).
  • At least three years of experience working in or partnering with educational organizations.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and present confidently in group settings.
  • Knowledge of higher education financing, financial aid processes, and post-secondary admissions.
  • Experience advising middle and high school students (preferred).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work closely with the Future Center Advisor II and the internal team.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, and summer hours as needed to best serve students and families.
  • A strong commitment to partnership, including active engagement with school district personnel and participation in building team meetings and trainings.

Terms of Employment:

  • Full-time salaried position with two schedule options:

-> 12-month, year-round

-> Or 10-month (academic year) with summers off (June and July).

  • Salary is based on experience and reflects the months worked.
  • Pay is issued bi-weekly.
  • Includes sick leave, personal time, and 12 paid holidays (prorated for the 10-month option).
  • A health insurance stipend and 401(k) match are offered.

How to Apply:

To apply, please submit your cover letter and resume (both required) through Indeed.
We kindly ask that all applications be submitted through the online system—no calls or emails, please.

Application deadline: May 31st.

Interviews will be held in June, with an anticipated start date on or around August 4, 2025.
