Eagle View Community Health System (EVCHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Clinic (FQHC) located in rural Illinois on the banks of the Mississippi River. Eagle View has been providing quality medical, dental, and behavioral health care to Henderson County since 1979. We believe that everyone should have access to healthcare regardless of their ability to pay.

In addition to a competitive salary other benefits included are $2,000 of in-house health benefits, generous paid time off, matching retirement benefits, certification repayments, over 11 paid holidays, and NO WEEKENDS, are offered to all employees. Providers also have potential for student loan repayment from National Health Service Corp (NHSC). Dentists will receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Current D4 students will be offered a monthly stipend of $750 a month until graduation.

Scope of Work Responsibilities:

  • Administers local anesthesia routinely and may utilize analgesia and medications when indicated.
  • Performs oral surgical procedures to include the removal of teeth, foreign bodies and anomalies from the oral cavity.
  • Performs biomechanical services to remove and control infections and to restore form and function to the complete masticatory organ.
  • Treats local dental diseases and oral manifestations of systemic disease reflected in oral tissues.
  • Recognizes limitations and requests consultation when examination reveals symptoms indicative of disease processes requiring treatment beyond the capabilities of the practitioner. Conversely serves as a consultant when the skill and training of a dentist may be required to render total patient care.
  • Is responsible for recording all pertinent data in medical and dental records accurately and promptly; completes in an accurate manner any other reporting forms that may be utilized by the agency.
  • Acts and functions in a professional manner at all times and utilizes knowledge of ethics in the rendering of treatment.
  • May accomplish responsibilities associated with planning, implementation and evaluation of a structured dental health program designed to meet the needs of the community.
  • Provides after hours call per shared schedule and documents calls in patient record.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Site Work Location:

Each employee has a primary work site(s) to which he/she is assigned. EVCHS, however, has multiple sites. Therefore, any employee may be asked to work at another site if the need arises. Administrative employees and contracted service providers may work from their homes, as needed or agreed upon in their contract.

Providers may utilize Telehealth/Telemedicine from their homes during regular business hours so long as they are licensed in the state in which the patient resides. No employee shall be asked to perform work outside his/her job description/capabilities

Qualifications:

  • Requires a DDS or DMD degree from a dental school accepted by the American Dental Association.
  • Requires possession of a current, valid license to practice dentistry in Illinois.
  • One year of experience in the field of clinical dentistry is desirable.
  • Requires ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with employees and patients.
  • Requires ability to exercise professional judgment in the oral health care of patients.
  • Requires ability to actively participate in national, state and local professional activities.
  • Requires ability to consult with appropriate health care professionals.

Pay: $170,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
