General Yard Help / Clay Site Drop-off Area Monitoring
Dirt/Clay Dump Site Monitoring
- Monitor and test all dirt dumps that come into the gravel pit.
- Perform required documentation, recording of electronic test results, material, etc.
- Direct trucks where to dump.
Clean Around Facility
- Clean all spilled material.
- Shovel all areas you cannot reach with equipment.
- Shop floors to be swept, supply shelves organized regularly.
- Various support tasks as assigned.
Dust Control
- Run the water truck during dusty conditions.
- Maintain clean environment around the truck scales.
Other
- Check fire extinguishers monthly.
- Opportunities to learn new skills.
- Outside work year round.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Must be 18 or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license is required. Applicant must have ability to learn new skills, have good customer service skills, time management and prioritization skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to multi-task.
Special Requirements
Must have reliable transportation to and from work, clean driving record that will be verified. Must be able to be flexible with work hours, able to work overtime, and have the understanding that winter layoffs may occur. Must be able to lift 55 lbs., sit or stand for long periods of time, have full range of mobility in upper and lower body. Applicants must also be able to work in various positions including standing, bending over, lifting objects, climbing stairs and ladders, navigating the property as required to meet the job functions. Ability to walk over uneven and slippery ground.
