The Seton Shrine is looking for a Part-Time Gift Shop Associate to help visitors maintain a connection with the Shrine by offering a variety of Shrine-related products. About the Role:

The Gift Shop Associate assists visitors with finding and purchasing products while supporting the Gift Shop Coordinator and/or Gift Shop Lead with daily operations. This role also ensures a welcoming and engaging environment for all Shrine guests. This role includes:

• Greeting and assisting every visitor, providing outstanding service.
• Maintaining knowledge of products and Shrine operations to answer inquiries.
• Interfacing with visitors via phone, email, and web store, ensuring prompt and accurate responses and order fulfillment.
• Operating the point-of-sale system and handling transactions efficiently.
• Opening and closing the shop, as needed, according to procedures.
• Processing, stocking, and monitoring inventory, replenishing as necessary.
• Supporting overall shop operations as a team player.
• Performing additional tasks as assigned to enhance the visitor experience and shop functionality.

Qualifications/Skills (Requirements):

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Retail sales experience.
• Strong communication skills and basic math proficiency.
• A warm and engaging personality with an inviting presence that puts people at ease.
• Ability to sustain peaceful, professional demeanor in stressful situations and with a variety of personalities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Keen sense of attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

• Computer experience, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook.
• Experience with Internet Sales software and/or Quickbooks preferred.
• Familiarity with the Catholic Church, its teaching and popular devotions, is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift and move boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the Shop (up to 35 pounds).
• Comfortable climbing stairs.

Hours of Work

This part-time position will be up to 21 hours/week with the hours of:

• Sundays- 9:30AM-5PM
• Mondays- 9:30AM-5PM
• Wednesdays- 12PM-7:30PM

Training for this position (the first week of work) will be held Sunday-Wednesday, with Sunday-Tuesday hours being 9:30AM-5PM and Wednesday hours being 12PM-7:30PM.
