The Guest Experience Associate and Play Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all guests and party groups have an excellent experience during their visit to The PlayGarten. This role focuses on providing outstanding customer service, maintaining a clean and safe facility, enforcing posted rules for our play area, and efficiently operating the check-in station and other technology systems within The PlayGarten. Key responsibilities include:

  • Greet all guests in a warm, friendly manner and check them in using the POS system. Ensure all guests entering the play facility have a signed waiver on file.
  • Ensure guests are aware of all amenities and activities available during their visit. Provide recommendations to enhance their experience.
  • Enforce all stated rules of play to ensure a safe and fun play environment.
  • Oversee party space and common areas to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety. Perform regular sanitization of high-touch surfaces.
  • Coordinate the set up and break down of party space for events. Communicate with party hosts to ensure smooth event flow and outstanding party experience.
  • Process payments, issue receipts and manage reservations, memberships and deposits using the POS system.
  • Address any guest concerns or issues promptly and respectfully. Escalate unresolved matters to the manager.
  • Perform daily opening/closing duties such as inventory checks and equipment inspections. Stock or re-stock concessions and drink offerings.
  • Restock and wash/sanitize drinkware as needed.
  • Instruct guests on use of self-pour beer station and multi-ball wall and oversee guest operations of this equipment.
  • Attend regular training to stay up-to-date on new POS features, safety protocols and guest service best practices.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of customer service experience, proficiency with POS or other technology systems, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Experience with event coordination, child care or child camps is a plus. Positive attitude, strong communication skills and commitment to quality and customer service are essential.
