Job Expectations:

  • Reports to the Parts & Accessories Manager
  • Setup and maintain an appealing retail environment and assist all customers with their shopping and purchase of merchandise
  • Supply cost of parts information on repair orders.
  • Update inventory control system and parts catalogue
  • Ensure invoices are complete and accurate
  • Order the correct parts and all necessary parts to complete the customer’s order * Maintain cleanliness of Parts and Accessories Department and keep inventory neatly stacked and orderly
  • Establish a customer communication timeline and follow it so customers are informed of the status of their items including specialty and backordered items
  • Meet established personal sales goals

o Minimum dollar average of sales per hour and sales per month

o Minimum average of sales per ticket and line items per sales ticket

o Average $200 in P&A sales per MU sale (optional on a store-by-store basis) * Increase sales by following established methods

o Minimum average of outbound phone contacts each day. A “contact” is defined as actually talking to the prospect, not just leaving a message and, for P&A, may include returning calls

o Use suggestive selling techniques to upsell

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of products; continuously improve product knowledge * Ensure customer data is complete, accurate, and updated in Lightspeed system o Verify existing data; update or add new data; always ask for the customer’s email address * Actively assist with merchandising and inventory activities
  • Tell customers about upcoming events
  • Assist and cooperate with other departments, primarily service and sales, regarding parts needs * The employee will be evaluated at the end of each month during the probationary period to determine if the above criteria has been met. If not, management will determine what future action will be taken.
