Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and automotive repair, with the ability to maintain and service various types of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the capability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on diesel vehicles, including oil changes, tire service, and brake inspections.
  • Align wheels and adjust suspensions as necessary to maintain vehicle integrity.
  • Utilize cranes and other equipment for heavy lifting during repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Solder electrical components and wiring as needed for repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
  • Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in diesel engine repair and automotive repair is essential.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required in the role.
  • Familiarity with various tools and equipment used in diesel mechanics, including diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred; commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus.
