We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator with experience operating excavators and grinder (horizontal and/or tub grinders). The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of heavy equipment operation, and must be able to demonstrate their experience with operating an excavator and grinder. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment in a safe and efficient manner, while complying with all company and industry safety standards.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections to ensure the equipment is in good working condition.
• Operate a horizontal grinder to grind wood waste materials into various sizes.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure proper material size and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as changing oil, filters, and greasing.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Follow all company and industry safety regulations and protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including email and data entry.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb stairs and ladders, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
