We are looking for an honest, hardworking individual with a good attitude & mechanical repair knowledge to fill a mechanic position at a large repair facility in Belchertown, MA. This person will inspect, maintain, diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment. The Mechanic will be responsible for all work assigned to
him by the Shop Manager.

Our ideal candidate is a professional with impeccable work ethic and a drive to succeed that can handle most any repair job on a heavy truck or piece of equipment. Candidates must have a good attitude, commit to arriving to work on time, reliable, and willing to work hard all day. 40 hour work week, no weekends. ● Examine trucks/trailers/equipment based on customer statements and determine appropriate
repairs needed
● Create a detailed parts list needed to complete repairs
● Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment
● Replace or repair worn parts as needed
● Physical activities include: walking, heavy lifting, twisting, turning, climbing a ladder, etc.

● Previous experience as a truck/equipment mechanic
● Ability to diagnose problems, maintain, and repair small engines and equipment
● Knowledgeable of all mechanical terminology
● Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills
● Proficient in the safe handling of all machines and equipment.
● Experience with welding a plus
● Experience with computer diagnostics a plus
● Experience with air conditioning a plus
● Experience with air brake systems a plus

● Valid driver’s license and good driving record with reliable transportation
● CDL a plus
● Excellent communication and organizational skills.
● Must pass background check and drug screening
● Candidate must be neat, clean, and professional

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
