Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Home Inspector and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, quality, and integrity of residential properties. In this energetic position, you will conduct thorough inspections of homes, assess construction quality, and provide detailed reports to clients. Your expertise will help homeowners, buyers, and real estate professionals make informed decisions. We are looking for a motivated professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for construction and quality assurance.
The Employee's role as a Home Inspector requires the fulfillment of the following duties and
Requirements:
Licenses and Certifications:
Maintain an active Home Inspector license in the Commonwealth of Virginia throughout
employment.
Maintain active OR actively work towards certifications as a Drone Operator, Radon
Tester, and Mold and Air Quality Inspector throughout employment.
Physical Demands:
Enter and inspect attics and crawlspaces during each inspection as required.
Open and inspect all electrical panels.
Operate and assess plumbing systems.
Carry and use ladders of various sizes at job sites.
Lift and carry up to 50lbs. of equipment.
Wear required Personal Protective (PP) equipment, including masks, when conditions
require.
Equipment and Tools:
Provide and maintain a reliable personal vehicle for transportation to and from job sites.
Provide and maintain a tablet for on-site report generation and note-taking.
Provide and maintain personal inspection tools as defined by the Company.
Provide and maintain a personal computer and phone for communication and
administrative tasks.
Inspection Duties:
Perform thorough and complete home inspections in accordance with Company standards
and industry guidelines.
Identify and document all material defects and safety concerns.
Operate drone equipment for inspections when required.
Perform radon testing and air quality testing as requested by clients.
Complete and deliver inspection reports promptly and accurately.
Skills and Conduct:
Write comprehensive and accurate inspection reports.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and real estate agents.
Present a professional image, including wearing designated Company attire at all job
sites.
Refrain from smoking or vaping while on the job or when arriving at a client's property.
Complete all initial and ongoing training as provided or required by the Company.
Adhere to the Company's Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

Pay: $85.00 - $120.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
