Our purpose is that no senior or person who is homebound will be hungry or lonely.

JOB SUMMARY

The Home Safety Coordinator position delivers services to clients to support their independence and safety in their home. This is includes completing home visits, volunteer management, training, purchasing of materials, and planning and coordinating projects. The coordinator generates support and interest in the Home Safety Program in the community through communications and engagement with stakeholders, increasing community relationships and participation. The coordinator manages home safety activities, maintain tools and materials, and ensure safety during all activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES

· Recruit, train, and lead volunteers and teams of volunteers to meet the identified client needs.
· Support, build, and manage growth in both contracted and charitable services.
· Track and record all relevant data regarding clients, volunteers, and tasks to support reporting requirements, planning, and budgeting.
· Maintain records in the Meals on Wheels ServTracker database system, mobile applications, and web-based digital records, and meet all other MOW reporting standards in a timely manner.
· Explore ways of improving efficiencies, increasing productive communications, and supporting the expanding mission of MOW.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

· Bachelors’ Degree OR relevant work or volunteer experience
· 2 years of experience building, construction, landscaping, general repairs and/or home maintenance
· Nonprofit business experience is preferred
· US Citizen or Authorized to work in the US
· At least 18 years of age
· Must have vehicle to travel between worksites, driver’s license, and carry own personal insurance
· Must submit to OSBI background check

SKILLS & ABILITIES

· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Goal oriented and mission focused
· Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner
· Ability to give presentations to both small and large groups
· Must have excellent technology skills and able to use various software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite
· Experience training and supervising volunteers is a plus
· Knowledge of business systems and ways of work for Nonprofit Organizations

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position is office-based. It is a full-time, non-exempt position with typical hours Monday-Friday 8:00-4:00. This position involves frequent sitting and occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, and squatting. The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear.
