Full job description
Position Description
The HR Consultant is responsible for serving the needs of our clients in various aspects of HR including, but not limited to, recruiting/onboarding, compliance, benefit administration and payroll. The HR Consultant will provide full HR service and support to our clients by communicating with them in person and/or virtually to help complete assigned tasks or projects. This position is a hybrid role, meaning your work schedule is a mix of remote in-home, in-office & in-person work with the clients. This role is a combination of human resources administration and client relations. Both aspects will be critical for the candidate to be successful in this role.
Key Competencies
· Self-motivated with the ability to stay focused on tasks while working virtually.
· Outgoing personality needed to create and maintain client relationships.
· Effective communicator to keep AHR team up to date with client progress.
· Detail oriented to maintain accurate client notes and billing.
· High degree of emotional intelligence needed to deal with daily changes.
· Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, OneNote, Word, etc)
· Great attention to detail.
Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Human Resources role or equivalent with experience in any of the following:
· Total Rewards: Experience in benefit administration, working with insurance providers, open enrollment administration and experience with explaining benefits, FMLA
· Talent Acquisition: Experience with posting to job boards (LinkedIn/Indeed/Handshake), candidate screening, interviewing, creating offer letters and onboarding.
· Compensation & Payroll: Experience with salary benchmarking, payroll processing
· Talent Management: Prior experience dealing with employee performance management or managing others.
· Administrative: Knowledge of handbook creation, policy manuals, code of conduct
Education
Bachelor’s degree with a major in Human Resources or equivalent preferred. *Expanded experience can be a substitute for education
Compensation
· Salary: $44,000 – 56,500/year + Profit Sharing Bonus
· Vacation: Unlimited PTO
