HR Coordinator Junior


This position is one of several added in conjunction with our recent move and expansion in Lawrence!


Lawrence MA-based, 99Degrees was founded in 2013 to transition US manufacturing into an advanced manufacturing industry through speed, agility, technology and a commitment to our region and workforce. We are a US contract manufacturer who produces technical activewear and wearable technologies for the most forward thinking global and high growth brands. Position Summary

This position is responsible to support Human Resources Department organizing, coordinating and carry out human resource processes and initiatives that promotes employee’s development and an engaging work environment.

Essential Duties

  • Assisting in recruitment and interview processes of hourly positions.
  • Cover reception and income calls.
  • Deliver, create and translate communications to employees.
  • Support with the creation of new employees’ files.
  • Review of the staff agencies invoices. Report of weekly hours to agencies. Inserting new temporary employees to the system.
  • Support in onboarding of new employees.
  • Support the team on the floor (installation of computers, printers, programming of the bells)
  • Provide administrative support to employees as needed.
  • Create and translate job descriptions.
  • Create and deliver training contents as needed.
  • Support in the creation and promotion of annual activities or celebrations.
  • Check mail.
  • Works closely to support other HR functions as needed.
  • And any other related task that the supervisor deems to be necessary.

Work environment

The working conditions for this role are consistent with those in a typical office environment that supports a manufacturing operation. This role will require frequent visits to the manufacturing floor.

Physical Demands

This role requires periods of sitting, working with a computer and other office equipment as well as sustained periods of time on the manufacturing floor. Frequent face-to-face interpersonal interactions are required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time role, working Monday through Friday


This position requires little to no travel.

Required Education and Experience

  • GED or high school diploma
  • Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees using superior interpersonal skills.
  • Must be bi-lingual Spanish and English.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office with an emphasis on Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Can create formulas, format, and filter with ease.
  • Thrives in fast-paced growth environment. Ability to wear multiple hats and multi-task.
  • Comfortable navigating and using cloud-based systems including Google Calendar, Email, Google Docs and Google Sheets.
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • 2 plus years’ experience in a manufacturing environment supporting Human Resources.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
