Overview
The Lafayette Region office is seeking a Human Resources Administrator who will be responsible for recruiting job applicants to fill positions, once decision to hire, review the application to ensure it is completed, check the websites to ensure applicant can be hired, conduct reference checks and then the required criminal and all other required background checks with the approval of the Regional Director/Area Supervisor. Conduct new hire orientation and assist new hires in completing paperwork. Create and maintain HR files and updates with current documents and all other HR duties.

Qualifications

  • The position requires a High School Diploma with some college level accounting course work, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and a minimum of one-year medical billing or clerical/accounting experience. Good administrative background including ability to use all office equipment. Basic understanding of general bookkeeping principles. Good computer skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Good verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to represent the Agency in a professional and courteous manner, and to accept feedback and direction well from supervisor. Demonstrated ability in handling multiple responsibilities with accuracy, requiring continual attention to detail, versatility, diligence, dependability, creativity, an eagerness to improve existing systems, and the ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines. Valid Louisiana driver’s license, current inspection sticker, liability insurance, and registration and pass a background and vehicle motor check are required. Experience with MS Office, including Word, and Excel is also desired.
