This dedicated and detail orientated individual is responsible managing the daily HR operations, supporting employees and managers, as well as ensuring the effective execution of HR policies and programs. This individual will provide training for all new employees on the Bank’s general regulations, policies, and procedures, develop and disseminate instructional materials related to coaching and development of WSB employees and manage the Bank’s recruiting efforts. They will also be responsible for supporting the Bank’s initiatives to enhance our employees’ experiences and promote a highly productive and engaged culture that ultimately builds pride, a sense of community and dedication to our mission.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in more detail)
Training/Onboarding
- Manage the full cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, selecting candidates, offer letters, reference and background checks.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions as well as collect data about job duties for the preparation and update to all related job descriptions.
- Manage the onboarding process including conducting new hire orientations and related scheduling. Ensure a smooth onboard process by providing a positive new employee experience that sets employees up for success. Complete touch points during their first 3- and 6-months in a consistent and timely manner and offer resources and support as required.
- Provide in-depth training for all new hires and promoted employees into non-retail positions.
Training
- Collaborate with managers to support employee development needs, identify solutions that promote skill development/enhancement.
- Coordinate with and utilize external training programs and materials as needed. Develop and deliver materials that support the Bank’s Training and Development efforts and assess and track training effectiveness and employee training needs after each training session.
- Prepare all outgoing communications and training materials that are consistent, timely, and relevant to all employees of the organization.
- Manage the OnCourse Learning platform and other training relationships.
- Act as the Bank’s regulatory and training record-keeper. Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting related to compliance and training and related audit material. Assist the Compliance department with all related meeting requests and meeting information. Run ad hoc reporting as requested and ensure that the presentation is consistent and meets end-user expectations and consistent with the Bank’s branding requirements. Manage all associated records and procedures.
Performance evaluations
- Act as the liaison and record keeper for the Bank’s Performance Manage System, Performance Pro, and manage all product updates and changes to effectively support the Bank’s PM initiatives.
- Manage the 90-day-, Transfer-, and Annual Performance Management Review process including updating systems, manager follow-up, and associated reporting. Ensure the process is current with industry trends and offer appropriate process changes and improvements as required in support of employees development. Audit and update the information on a regular basis to ensure that is relevant and current.
Engagement
- Manage the Bank’s Intranet Communication Platform; engage users and ensure content is current and promotes a positive and engaged employee experience.
- Develop and execute projects aimed at advancing Bank goals and programs with a focus on creating a culture of learning and recognition, including rewards, recognition and other professional development and learning activities.
- In support of managing the Bank’s Employee Life Committee (ELC), actively research and propose new, creative ideas that enhance fun and engagement within the office and promote a positive and enjoyable atmosphere.
HR Administration
- Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance of all Bank regulatory, security and bank policies and procedures.
- Take a leadership role in supporting the Bank’s existing policies and procedures and effectively communicate with all employees and 3rd party vendors as needed.
- Assist the VP, Human Resources with the regulatory management, including audits and HR related projects and surveys.
- Assist the VP, Human Resources with employee relations matters as directed in a confidential manner.
- Complete timely review of user system access requirements. Perform audits to ensure data integrity. Make system recommendations that support HR’s goal of contributing to a positive and engaged employee experience.
- Represent the Bank at local community events and business organizations in support of the Bank’s outreach efforts.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (preferred)
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience in adult education or related training activities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including excel and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of standard bank equipment.
- Proven training, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of the Banking products and services, policies and procedures, including teller functions as well as general knowledge of other areas of banking as necessary to adequately provide training for those divisions.
- Ability to create processes and procedures and to communicate procedures to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to effectively manage projects and multi-task.
- Familiarity with principles of supervision and management.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, including ability to speak effectively before groups.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $67,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
