Position Overview:

The Human Resources Generalist will have a minimum of five years of applicable experience. This position will report to the Human Resources Manager and will be involved with employee relations, compliance of labor & employment laws, recruitment & staffing, performance management, employee relations, compensation, and benefits of the company. Job requires oversight of company policies and practices to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws. The HR Generalist will maintain awareness of business needs, objectives, compensation, and general HR trends while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of personnel files, documents, and manuals. Work collaboratively with other members of the Human Resources Department to accomplish Company’s goals and objectives. They will provide a safe, secure, legal environment with the proper tools and systems to maximize complete job satisfaction for employees and support company growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • HRIS administration, including but not limited to managing activities related to personnel records administration and development, implementation and administration of employee self-directed access
  • Lead employee relations matters such as investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • Ensure governmental regulation compliance
  • Review Company policies to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws
  • Responsible for handling requests for unemployment claims
  • Ensure proper communication of all HR policies, procedures and programs.
  • Educate managers and supervisors in appropriate and fair human resources practices.
  • Benefits and 401k administration
  • Participate in or lead HR projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Perform additional related duties and assignments as directed by Management

Required Skills:

  • BS/BA degree and 5+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • PHR or SPHR preferred
  • Experience with ADP Work Force Now is helpful
  • Knowledge and understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to make presentations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Supervisory and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop creative solutions to complex issues
  • Ability to interface with people at all levels

Environment and Physical Requirements:

The majority of the work week will be in office. Travel by plane or car as required. Duties to include administrative functions using the phone, computer and communicating with people. This job will require occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time, perform keyboard operations and climb stairs as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
