Respite Care of San Antonio (RCSA) located in Monte Vista is seeking an experienced full-time Human Resources Generalist.

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The HR Generalist will also post job openings, recruit, screen, and set up interviews for internal and external applicants to fill current or expected job vacancies and the orientation of new team members. The HR Generalist will also work in collaboration with the Director of Human Resources to handle a variety of personnel-related administrative duties.


  • Actively participates and collaborates with all levels of leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, training, and retention.
  • Participate in the development of human resource objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company requirements.
  • Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies.
  • Handle all administrative tasks including data entry in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and Payroll system.
  • Handle all administrative tasks for recruiting, onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews.
  • Prepare paperwork and schedules for smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first day experience.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, local and national regulations, and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary.


  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field, or comparable experience
  • Minimum of two years recruiting experience
  • Human Resources administrative experience preferred.
  • Communicate effectively, clearly, and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office computer applications including (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
