We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This exciting opportunity provides a great opportunity for expanding human resources knowledge in interpersonal skills, workforce engagement, and payroll/accounting functions!
Summary
The Human Resources Generalist role is a team-oriented role, functioning as an integral part of the human resources and payroll team. The Generalist's responsibilities are a sub-set of the Human Resource Manager’s responsibilities, employing education and service to our dedicated employees.
Key Responsibilities:
HRIS Maintenance:
- Maintains and updates HRIS for employee data management, payroll, benefits administration, and reporting.
- Train staff on HRIS functionalities and maintain documentation to support system use.
Health, Wellness, and Benefits:
- Assists in the administration of employee wellness programs and initiatives to promote a healthy work environment.
- Assists in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other ancillary benefits.
- Assists in compiling and tracking workers' compensation claims.
Payroll Administration:
- Performs all processing of employee payroll in the absence of the Payroll Administrator.
- When needed, addresses payroll inquiries and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner.
Recruitment and Retention:
- Assists in the recruiting function including job postings, interview coordination, pre-employment screening and orientation.
Training and Development:
- Assists HR Manager in the delivery and coordination of training programs.
Reporting Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present regular HR reports, detailing workforce metrics, turnover rates, and other key performance indicators.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and reporting requirements.
- Develop ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by the HR Manager to inform decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in human resources, business, or HR certification, with at least 1 year of human resources experience preferred; a combination of education and/or work experience may be considered.
- Experience in a construction or industrial environment preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong knowledge of Excel.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
