Reports to: CEO

Milestones Autism Resources is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of autistic individuals, families, caregivers and professionals by educating, coaching and connecting them to trusted resources We seek to create a diverse work culture that closely matches the diversity of our client base. Essential Duties:

The Human Resources Manager reporting to the CEO plays a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining our Human Resources practices. This position is responsible for partnering with the leadership team to acquire diverse talent, developing equitable policies, maintaining legal compliance, and fostering a positive employee relations environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Talent Strategy and Planning:
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to create and implement the organization's People & Culture plan, encompassing recruitment and retention.
  • Identify key talent needs and develop strategies to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent.
  • Talent Acquisition & Retention:
  • Develop Talent Acquisition strategy including hiring manager process checklist to ensure a fair and equitable process.
  • Manage the day-to-day Talent Acquisition efforts including sourcing, screening, and behavioral based interview process.
  • Create and implement onboarding strategy for new staff or those in new positions.
  • Policy and Procedure Development:
  • Develop organizational policies and procedures that are equitable, human-centered, and aligned with the organization's values.
  • Continuously review and update policies to meet evolving needs and best practices.
  • Compliance and Best Practices:
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Recommend and implement HR best practices to enhance HR operations and minimize legal risks.
  • Employee Relations and Culture:
  • Provide support to leadership and employees in resolving workplace issues and conflicts.
  • Foster a safe work environment by being available to all staff.
  • Lead day to day Human Resources Administration
  • Handling Monthly Payroll including Time Tracking software
  • Managing annual Benefit administration
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years of HR generalist experience with a focus on talent acquisition, employee relations, and policy development.
  • Proven experience in working with a diverse workforce.
  • Neurodivergent experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly in the context of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proven ability to foster a positive employee relations environment.
