POSITION OVERVIEW:
Serves as the primary HR leader for the organization, overseeing HR Operations (recruiting, hiring, onboarding, offboarding, and talent management), compliance, employee relations and leadership development. Balances of strategic guidance with hands-on execution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Key responsibilities and essential functions include percentages of time.)
A. Key Functions: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
· Lead HR policies, procedures and compliance efforts (development, maintenance)
· Manage employee relations, performance issues, and investigations
· Oversee recruitment, hiring and workforce planning
· Guide managers on performance management and development
· Manage compensation, benefits, and annual review cycles
· Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as non-profit relevant
· Coordinate training, engagement, retention initiatives
· Partner with leadership on organizational development
· Manager HR vendors (benefits brokers, insurance, etc)
B. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This is a largely sedentary role, with no requirements outside of normal daily movement.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
● A follower of Jesus Christ with a servant heart for missions and nurturing believers.
● Passion for the Word of God and provision of the Word for every people group.
● Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field
● 4-7 years progressive HR or leadership experience
● Strong knowledge of employment law and/or HR best practices
● Experience in handling sensitive employee relations matters
● Supervisor or advisory experience with managers
● SHRM-CP or PHR preferred but not required
● Strong judgment, confidentiality, and strong verbal and written communication skills
