We have an exciting opportunity to grow your career with a successful HVAC distributor. As the HVAC Parts & Supplies Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing our parts and supplies business to maximize sales opportunity and asset turnover. This involves coordinating training to keep contractors, sales, and customer service up to date on new products and product updates. This role works with sales, marketing, and purchasing to achieve company goals while maximizing efficiency.

As the Product Manager for Parts & Supplies, you will:

  • Analyze product line and research market trends to support purchasing in making the best buying decisions to maximize sales opportunities and maintain asset turnover efficiency
  • Evaluate and maintain a healthy product life cycle on all products and, if it is slow, evaluate an exit strategy or work with sales to get it moving
  • In a joint venture with the sales team, research customers and markets to identify trends to get in front of changes in product demand and identify new product or line extension opportunities
  • Own new product or product changes: setup, market evaluation, forecasting, etc.
  • Train contractors, fields sales, and customer serivce in core product knowledge to support increased sales and customer service excellence
  • Coordinate with marketing, sales, and purchasing to develop collateral and successfully launch new product and product line updates
  • Review and analyze inventory data to help product committee dispose of or exit a slow moving and discontinued product at the best economic outcome
  • Make joint sales calls to support field sales and to research customers and market needs
  • Gather field pricing to report market pricing conditions to VP of Sales for price evaluation
  • Provide customer pricing data based on sales input and competitive information to VP of Sales for price evaluation
  • Create and execute monthly marketing initiatives directly related to assigned product line
  • Perform quarterly branch inventory reviews and work with purchasing to adjust accordingly
  • Conduct regular meetings with internal and external partners that effect your product lines and build strong relationships with them
  • Periodically attend related trade shows, conferences, and factory tours with vendors and/or customers
  • Identify any gap shortages in product inventory, recognize both positive and negative trends or notifications from vendors, and work with appropriate departments within the organization to effectively pivot when necessary to find solutions.

Pay: $64,500.00 - $83,000.00 per year
