Full job description
Batta Environmental, a growing Delaware based environmental consulting firm, is seeking an Industrial Hygienist & HAZMAT Consultant to support its activities in performing Asbestos, Lead and Mold Surveys, Indoor Air Quality Investigations and Soil/Groundwater studies primarily in the City of Philadelphia.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Survey commercial, residential and other buildings for HAZMATs including asbestos, lead paint, PCBs, etc.
- Able to work on roofs, ladders and crawlspaces
- Monitor asbestos abatement in accordance with EPA, OSHA and AHERA regulations.
- Collect samples for determination of Asbestos, Lead or Mold content.
- Assist in conducting surveys, preparation of abatement design and specifications.
- Assisting in report writing, including preparation of detailed logs and data summary tables.
- Position entails frequent travel throughout Maryland Delaware and Pennsylvania . Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
- Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point.
- Flexible hour schedule - evening and weekend work as well.
Asbestos Building Inspector and Air Monitoring Licenses highly recommended
Lead Paint Inspector and/or Risk Assessor License highly recommended
2 Year Minimum Experience Required
OSHA-40 Hour HAZWOPER Preferred

Education:
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
Experience:
- collecting samples for testing of Asbestos, Lead or Mold: 1 year (Preferred)
- environmental report writing and detailed logs preparation: 1 year (Preferred)
- asbestos abatement monitoring: 1 year (Preferred)
- Soil/Groundwater sampling: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- OSHA-40 Hour HAZWOPER (Preferred)
- Asbestos/Lead License (Preferred)
