We are seeking a skilled Injection Molding Technician that will work with minimal supervision on injection molding machines to properly maintain the tooling.
Overview and Responsibilities
The Injection Molding Technician will work with minimal supervision on injection molding machines to properly maintain the tooling. This includes:
1. Perform preventive maintenance on injection tooling and secondary equipment.
2. Document any variances with tools and subsequent necessary mold revisions.
3. Set molds in injection molding machines for production.
4. Track locations of molds within warehouse and maintain location documents.
5. Build end of arm tools for robotic part picking.
6. Answer alarms from IM presses and perform general troubleshooting to maintain efficient production.
7. General understanding of injection molding processing of various resins and tonnage platforms.
8. New process design, optimization, workflow and molding condition setups are a big plus!
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
· Inside working conditions.
· No travel. Will need reliable transportation.
· Must be able to walk or stand 100% of the shift.
· Ability to squat/kneel frequently and reach up/down 100% of the shift. Requires full range of motion to frequently bend at waist and twist the torso.
· Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
· Visual Acuity: Close viewing to read labels at close distance.
Essential Skills & Personal Qualities
· Mandatory: Knowledge of injection molds and molding machines.
· Mandatory: 5+ years of injection molding technical experience.
· Mandatory: Perform tasks accurately and efficiently with excellent attention-to-detail.
· Work independently without direct supervision and handle multiple projects and tasks.
· Keep a positive attitude; be respectful to coworkers, customers and managers.
· Ability to use a PC and MS Office software (e.g. add codes to Excel, update and print Word) Track mold PM’s and certification documents for QMMS entries.
Compensation $58,000 - $65,000 depending on experience
