The Installer is responsible for performing high-quality cabinet + millwork installations in both residential + commercial settings. This role requires technical skill, precision, + the ability to problem-solve on-site while working efficiently to meet project deadlines. The Installer ensures that each installation meets Cottonwood’s craftsmanship standards + contributes to an exceptional customer experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform accurate + efficient installation of custom cabinetry, trim, + millwork based on project blueprints.
• Verify that all materials, hardware, + tools are prepared before beginning installation.
• Ensure precise measurements + alignments for a seamless + professional installation.
• Troubleshoot + resolve minor issues that arise during installation, such as fitting adjustments.
• Maintain clear + professional communication with team members, clients, + contractors.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules while maintaining attention to detail + craftsmanship.
• Keep job sites clean + organized, removing debris + securing tools properly.
• Identify + document any installation issues or needed modifications for review.
• Follow company safety policies + industry best practices to minimize risk.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years of experience in cabinet + millwork installation.
• Proficiency in using hand + power tools with a strong understanding of installation techniques.
• Ability to read + interpret project drawings, scopes, + specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills + ability to adapt to challenges on-site.
• Attention to detail + commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Physical ability to lift + maneuver heavy cabinetry + work in various job site conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS + ATTITUDES

· Technical skills: Technical skills are the abilities that the Installer must have that allow them to complete tasks. This role must use their technical skills to read + interpret drawings, use measuring tools + other equipment to install cabinets, ensure the cabinets are level + sturdy as well as presented with the greatest amount of quality + finish.

· Communication skills: Communication skills are essential for this role to effectively communicate with their team, collaborate with other departments + ensure smooth installation. Ability to articulate questions, provide updates + discuss project details with team members.

· Attention to detail: The Installer needs sharp attention to detail to ensure high-end custom products. This attention to detail enables them to maintain high standards of accuracy + quality throughout the installation process.

· Problem-solving skills: This position will use problem-solving skills to find solutions to challenges they encounter on the job. They need the ability to work collaboratively with others, resolving any issues that arise + contributing to a positive team environment.

· Mechanical aptitude: As an Installer, they will use mechanical aptitude to understand how machines + tools work. They will use this knowledge to install cabinets, millwork + other complimentary products, which often require the use of tools + machinery.

JOB TYPE

• Full-time.
• Monday – Friday.
• On-site – Located on client job sites + within the Draper Manufacturing Facility, as needed.
• Highly physical. Must be able to lift heavy items, stand for multiple hours + withstand a variety of climates in the warehouse + at job sites.
