Who We Are

The AccelerateMS Talent Solutions Team is Mississippi’s bold, innovative engine powering workforce development. We’re not just partners — we’re leaders. Whether it's post-secondary institutions, community colleges, or training providers, we lead the charge with high-impact strategies and programs tailored to each community and employer we serve.

From day one, our mission is simple but powerful: Design training that works. Training that’s flexible, hands-on, engaging, and hyper-relevant — because Mississippi’s future deserves nothing less.

About the Role

We're looking for a forward-thinking, tech-savvy Instructional Designer who thrives on building customized training programs that drive results. This is not a traditional teaching position — it’s a strategic, creative, and technical role. Think: part instructional designer, part technical writer, part content developer, and full-time workforce innovator.

Whether you're building interactive eLearning, leading live workshops, or designing training that mirrors a company’s specific machinery and operations, you'll be helping Mississippi businesses grow by equipping people with real-world skills.

What You’ll Do

● Develop innovative, job-specific training materials in multiple formats: eLearning, video, simulations, instructor-led, blended, and more.

● Consult with employers to identify skill gaps and design tailored training aligned to their unique needs, operations, and culture.

● Collaborate with subject matter experts and company leaders to translate complex processes into accessible, engaging content.

● Deliver live training sessions as needed, both in-person and virtually.

● Manage and troubleshoot content within various Learning Management Systems (LMS).

● Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time, high-quality training development.

● Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

● Support broader AccelerateMS internal training and continuous improvement efforts.

● Integrate training with credentialing and workforce education pathways across Mississippi. What You Bring

● 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, content development, or workforce training.

● Proficiency with instructional design tools like Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.

● Strong communication skills — written, visual, and verbal — with the ability to translate industry jargon into learner-friendly content.

● Project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple training builds at once.

● LMS fluency — you're comfortable uploading, managing, and maintaining course content.

● Experience designing training for multiple industries — manufacturing experience is a major plus.

● A knack for innovation — familiarity with using social media, video, or animation in training is welcome.

● You’re detail-oriented, solution-driven, and people-focused.

What We Offer

● Competitive salary with government perks and market-level pay

● Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401K

● Paid holidays

● Hybrid work schedule (20-25% in-state travel)

● A supportive, fast-moving team environment (No politics — just professionals)

● The chance to have a real impact on Mississippi’s workforce and economy
