Position Summary
The Insurance Support Specialist will provide assistance to agents and managers to obtain, maintain, expand, and service insurance accounts. This position must demonstrate consistent exceptional customer service to all clients at all times. Position provides on the job training and opportunities for advancement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Obtain, maintain, expand and service personal accounts with consistent, knowledgeable, fun, and professional customer service.
- Review total insurance accounts on each contact with a client and for renewals
- Advocate and educate our clients regarding their insurance needs and questions
- Process quotes in Rating system or company sites
- Research and handle billing questions and payments.
- Answer service-related calls and handle service requests such as coverages, billing, payments, policy changes and requests, claims, binders, cancellations, re-writes, etc.
- Maintain the After-hours claims phone when scheduled and file as needed. Contact your manager with emergencies.
- Verify insurance coverage for banks, mortgages, and dealerships.
- Solicit improved or additional coverages, or other insurance business in a constant effort to round out personal insurance accounts; when possible,
- Be knowledgeable in industry-wide changes as well as with our carriers
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Experience in office-setting and/or customer service industry is a plus
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Able to communicate detailed insurance information in a manner that customers understand (explaining policies, coverage, etc.)
- Willingness to work with a team
- Strong computer skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
