About
At Contempo Floor Coverings, we don’t just offer flooring—we craft transformations. With two showrooms in Los Angeles, we serve as a source for architects, designers, builders, and homeowners seeking cutting-edge, design-focused flooring solutions. We are driven by the belief that great design has the power to elevate spaces and enhance lives. We’re looking for someone equally passionate about bringing this vision to life.
Why Join Us?
As an Interior Design-Focused Salesperson, you’ll do more than just make sales—you’ll help clients bring their dream spaces to life. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about interior design and skilled in sales. You’ll work directly with people in the trade as well as homeowners, providing personalized design consultations and guiding them in selecting the perfect flooring for their homes and projects. If you’re ready to combine your love of design with your sales expertise, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Inspire and Engage: Meet with clients in our showroom and at job sites, understand their design visions, and guide them in choosing flooring solutions that perfectly complement their homes.
- Provide Design Consultations: Offer expert design services, helping clients make confident decisions about decor, flooring, and overall home design. You’ll be their trusted advisor from concept to completion.
- Drive Sales: Use your product knowledge and design expertise to exceed sales targets. You’ll be the go-to person for clients looking to transform their spaces.
- Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong connections with homeowners, architects, and designers. Turn first-time visitors into lifelong clients and advocates for Contempo Floor Coverings.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up with the latest design and flooring trends to ensure you always offer clients the most current and stylish options.
- Collaborate: Work closely with our installation teams and other departments to ensure seamless project execution from sale to installation, delivering exceptional client experiences every time.
Who You Are
- Design-Driven: You have 2-5 years of experience in interior design or a related field. Your eye for detail and understanding of design principles make you a trusted client advisor.
- Sales-Focused: You’re not just a designer but a sales professional with a proven track record of exceeding goals. You can close deals while keeping the client’s needs front and center.
- Excellent Communicator: Your verbal and written communication skills are sharp. You present ideas clearly and persuasively, making complex design concepts easy to understand.
- Client-Centric: You’re passionate about delivering outstanding client service. You listen to clients, anticipate their needs, and go above and beyond to create unforgettable experiences.
- Detail-Oriented: You’re meticulous, ensuring every aspect of a project is executed perfectly. No detail is too small for your attention.
- Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable with design tools, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite, using them to enhance your workflow and client interactions.
