Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Inventory and Procurement Specialist maintains appropriate inventory levels of all the products in the LoCo Foods Catalog and ensures that the inventory numbers in the system are correct. This position also helps in the warehouse and in the office as needed, as the team is small and there is a lot going on.
• Stage products for delivery routes.
• Receive and stock products picked up on routes into the Entrée software system.
• Know and follow food safety regulations. o Ensure that the warehouse is clean, clear, and sanitary.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERRED SKILLS

• Clean, valid driver’s license.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
• Physical strength and stamina to move, lift, carry 50lbs of product throughout the workday and week.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Remarkable organizational skills and the ability to keep track of many things at the same time
• Spatial intelligence, aptitude for product placement in warehouse, refrigerator, and freezer.
• Organized with the ability to prioritize.
• Enjoy interacting with a wide range of personalities among vendors, customers, and staff.
• Able to accommodate irregular shifts. Early and/or late, weekends, changes with seasons and company growth.
• Highly effective time management skills.
• General understanding of and enthusiasm for the local food movement.
• Creative problem-solving skills, flexibility and ability to make things work

ADDITIONAL NOTES

As a company, LoCo Food Distribution is growing extremely fast and needs people who are ready to jump in with both feet and help in various capacities within the company. Candidates with warehouse experience are preferred.
