We’re seeking an experienced Inventory Control Coordinator to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment. You’ll lead routine cycle counts, oversee the RMA process, analyze root causes of discrepancies, and collaborate across departments to improve processes and systems. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, strong computer skills, and the ability to resolve irregularities with clarity. Pay competitive based on experience. Sponsorship Not Available
Key Responsibilities
- Cycle Counts & Reconciliation
o Execute daily/weekly cycle counts for thousands of SKUs in a high-volume setting.
o Investigate variances quickly; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
o Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with audit standards.
- Inventory Control & Process Integrity
o Monitor inventory transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, WIP, returns) for accuracy and speed.
o Enforce inventory control methods (Product picking, FIFO, lot tracking) to minimize errors.
o Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to handle large-scale production efficiently.
o Regular review of inventory storage methods and product storage location to ensure best practice techniques.
- RMA Process Oversight
o Manage and track Return Material Authorizations from initiation to resolution.
o Coordinate with Quality, Purchasing, and Suppliers to ensure timely and accurate processing.
o Maintain reporting and documentation for all RMA activities.
- Systems & Data
o Execute accurate transactions in ERP systems under high transaction volumes.
o Develop and run exception reports to identify systemic issues.
o Maintain and distribute cycle-counts records and results.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
o Partner with Production, Purchasing, Warehousing, Quality, and Accounting to resolve discrepancies quickly.
o Communicate findings clearly and present metrics to leadership.
o Train team members on best practices for high-volume inventory control.
- Continuous Improvement
o Analyze trends and implement process improvements to reduce shrink, scrap, and transaction errors.
o Lead kaizen events focused on speed and accuracy in inventory handling.
o Support physical inventory planning and execution with minimal production and shipment disruption.
Qualifications
o 3 - 5+ years inventory control oversight experience in high-volume manufacturing or distribution.
o Strong knowledge of inventory control methods and ERP systems.
o Advanced computer skills: Excel (pivot tables, lookups), data analysis, and reporting.
o Proven ability to manage large SKU counts and high transaction volumes accurately.
o Excellent communication and collaboration skills; strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis ability.
Preferred
o Experience with lean/continuous improvement tools (5S, kaizen).
o Knowledge of replenishment principles and production scheduling impacts on inventory.
