Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Helpdesk Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a passion for customer service, providing timely assistance to users experiencing technical issues. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations within our organization by resolving hardware and software problems, managing network connectivity, and maintaining an efficient IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for IT-related issues via phone, email, or in-person interactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems on Windows and Mac OS systems.
- Assist users with VPN connectivity issues and ensure secure remote access.
- Utilize ServiceNow to log incidents, track progress, and document solutions effectively.
- Analyze network connectivity issues, including TCP/IP configurations, to restore service promptly.
- Communicate clearly with end-users to understand their concerns and provide appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate complex issues as necessary.
- Maintain an organized inventory of IT equipment and assist in the deployment of new hardware.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT support or helpdesk roles is preferred.
- Strong understanding of computer networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP).
- Proficiency in using ticketing systems for incident management.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Familiarity with Windows environment is essential, and some Linux experience is preferred.
- Ability to analyze problems effectively and provide timely resolutions.
- Knowledge of VPN technologies and configurations is a plus.

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
