At Cognitive Research Corporation, we are building a team around an exceptional corporate culture while we assist our clients in bringing much-needed treatments to patients. We are currently seeking an IT Specialist for an on-site position in our beautiful St Petersburg, FL, office.

Position Summary:

Provide set up, support and maintenance for desktop-based software applications, hardware configurations and system analysis. Provide assistance and support for integration between desktop and Company applications. Analyze and document current systems and procedures. Assist with developing, documenting and implementing standards and procedures to be used by IT staff and CRC employees. Support and complete projects as they relate to desktop infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all things end user support related. Fully competent as a professional contributor to apply skills, policies and procedures to complete assignments, tasks and projects. Exercises judgment within defined guidelines to determine appropriate action.
  • Onboard and Offboard (set up, configure, parts, equipment and training)
  • Maintain user lists for location of all accounts (org chart, phones, excel, adobe, 365, Zoom, AD and User forms)
  • Order for all projects (USB, SD, Camera, etc..);
  • Ship equipment and process returned equipment
  • FTP setup for all accounts
  • Monthly restore and data recovery testing
  • Computer System Validation (CSV) support
  • Support for Cogscreen devices and driving scenarios; travel and logistics support of Cogscreen
  • Provides clinical site and study support where necessary; communicate cross-functionally
  • Troubleshoot various software configurations/features including operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, databases and networking on CRC platforms.
  • Install and support software applications and operating systems to ensure proper functionality
  • CRC IT Helpdesk Support. (Timesheets, Sprout, Threatlocker)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • ·BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study (preferred), and 3 years of desktop management experience; or combination of education and equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Substantial knowledge and experience with computer equipment and peripherals.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Excellent communication skills, which allow for troubleshooting and problem solving via oral and written communication; attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • Experience with enterprise desktop remote assistance tools
  • Knowledge of all supported versions of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Able to prioritize workload to ensure productivity of staff and CRC departments
  • Industry relevant certifications are a plus
  • Proven ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment, and able to establish/maintain effective work relationships with co-workers within and across functional areas
  • Driver’s License
