About the Role

Integral Youth Services (IYS) is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee our Work2Learn youth workforce development program. This leadership role is responsible for managing two Crew Coordinators, up to four Crew Leaders, and 16 Crew Members in hands-on career training, skills development, and certifications focused on fire fuel mitigation, forestry, and Bureau of Land Management (BLM)-related work.

As a key leader in the program, you will guide teams in practical work environments while mentoring young adults in career exploration and professional growth. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with proven management experience, a passion for workforce development, and familiarity with forestry-related industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & Manage: Oversee Crew Coordinators, Crew Leaders, and Crew Members to ensure smooth program operations and achievement of goals.
  • Program Development: Implement and maintain initiatives that support workforce readiness, skill-building, and industry certifications for young adults.
  • Training & Mentorship: Support youth participants in developing career paths, providing guidance, and ensuring they gain valuable hands-on experience.
  • Collaboration & Outreach: Work with community partners, industry professionals, and stakeholders to enhance program opportunities.
  • Risk & Performance Management: Assess program effectiveness, identify potential risks, and implement improvements as needed.
  • Field & Office Work: Balance responsibilities between administrative tasks, case management, and on-site program supervision.

What You Bring

  • Required Experience:
  • Management experience overseeing multiple teams, preferably in workforce development, forestry, or a related field.
  • Experience working with young adults in career training or mentorship roles.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects, delegate effectively, and track program progress.
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge of fire fuel mitigation, forestry, BLM projects, or similar hands-on conservation work.
  • Familiarity with industry certifications and training programs relevant to workforce development.
  • Community outreach and partnership-building experience.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Office & Field Work: Expect a mix of professional office tasks and active work-site supervision.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to walk, stand, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in various outdoor conditions.
  • Schedule: Full-time (Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM) with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
  • Travel: Local travel during work hours, with potential for out-of-area training opportunities.

Why Join Us?

At IYS, we believe in empowering young adults by providing meaningful career pathways and hands-on training opportunities.
