Position Summary

ARC is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Job Developer & Facilitator to join its Sacramento team. The Job Developer & Facilitator plays an integral role in supporting the advancement of ARC’s mission by bringing a practical, but creative perspective to ARC’s workforce needs. The Job Developer & Facilitator will support and build upon all aspects of ARC’s workforce programming. This position will help to explore new and innovative workforce opportunities for ARC’s membership and will help to develop new programming that further advances the department.

Essential Job Functions

  • Help create new partnerships and cultivate relationships with existing employers.
  • Stay informed of Fair Chance Hiring laws and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission guidelines to help members advocate for themselves.
  • Conduct employment workshops- Career Readiness, Interviewing Skills, How to Apply for Employment and Resume Writing.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with government (local, state, federal) contracts and private grants that are related to employment and education.
  • Participate in ARC meetings and case conferences sharing best practices and providing thought partnership to colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate member/program data to manage caseload and generate reports.
  • Document each service, outcome, and new steps as well as any observations of members’ skills, job readiness, and/or other opportunities into a case management database.
  • Analyze and report monthly data as required to maintain accurate client and program-based statistics.
  • Conduct outreach and make initial contact with referred members.
  • Identify member’s employment needs.
  • Conduct regular meetings to support with achieving employment goals.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years' experience in job development, employer recruitment, and/or managing relationships with employer partners.
  • 2-3 years' experience working directly with emerging adults on workforce development or education.
  • Experience working with formerly incarcerated and other underserved communities preferred.
  • Experience with the parole, probation and child welfare system is a plus.
  • 1 year of experience with group facilitation.
  • Access to a reliable car, insurance, and a clean driving record is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The Job Developer and Facilitator will have the following ideal experience and attributes:

  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as a member of a team, and with a wide variety of stakeholders, including government agencies, educational institutions, and other community-based organizations.
  • Strong time management, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Strong commitment to social justice, equity and ending mass incarceration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships within a diverse virtual work environment.

Salary/Benefits

  • Pay rate is $24.04-26.44 DOE
