Journeyman Electrician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 5 years of low and high voltage electrical experience required
• Read and interpret the plan, sketch, and materials list to complete custom projects
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
• Understand lighting / electrical circuiting diagrams
• Understanding of lighting control systems
• Estimate project timelines and materials needed to complete the job
• Specification of light fixtures preferred
• Familiarity with Lutron / Elan and other home control technology systems preferred
• Knowledge and experience using power tools and equipment such as table and miter saws, planers, jointers, and nail guns
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and devices
• Assures accurate installation procedures and practices are followed at job sites
• ·Inventory management and job site clean-up
• Interact with both internal and external customers in a professional, customer service-oriented manor
• ·Preserve customer and client confidentiality
• Additionally, the ideal candidate should:
• Background in construction / electrical work
• Express interest in A/V components and associated equipment
• Demonstrate strong communication skills including verbal and written
• Work under pressure and meet deadlines through strong time management skills
• · Read and comprehend architectural drawings, specifications, and other various types of “Industry Standard” construction documents and system drawings
• Ability to work both independently and in a team atmosphere
• ·Physically be able to meet requirements of the job which include carrying items of at least 50+ pounds unassisted, standing on feet for up to 8 hrs. a day, bending down frequently, frequent use of ladders and working at heights
• Flexibility to work outside of regularly scheduled hours

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS AND BENEFITS

· Full-Time Schedule: Monday – Friday (7:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
