Journeyman Roofer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Control Manager. As a Quality Control Manager, you will Monitor installs (roofing crews) to ensure proper installation and adherence to LocalRooofs and manufacturer installation specifications/standards/requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Submit quality control escalations (via a LocalRoofs proprietary forms software) to identify and describe quality control issues/concerns.
• Ensure quality control issues/concerns are addressed timely (i.e. ensure quality escalations are actioned).
• Track field employees’ skills and performance (i.e. identify crew/training deficiencies, strengths, improvement over time, etc.).
• Ensure jobsite is always maintained, clean, and safe. Ensure installers properly disposed of waste and unused materials are returned.
• Ensure quality and safety on all job sites.
• Monitor progress of existing projects to ensure on-time completion.
• Work closely with the VP of Operations, communicating ongoing progression of jobs and any issues on jobsites.
• Assist with Pre-Walks as needed to (a) reaffirm project scope of work before installation commences and (2) create and submit a project material list.
• Responsible for adherence to company policies, including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
• Attend mandatory team meetings and training sessions.
• Provide exceptional customer experience to all clients.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of roofing experience (preferably more) with expert-level knowledge of roof installation methods and products, specifically shingles, tile, and modified torch down.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work independently and carry out assignments to completion with minimal instruction.
• Working knowledge of common computer programs (Microsoft word, excel, Outlook).
• Must have a valid CA Driver’s License.
