Kitchen Assistant

Duties

• Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients using proper knife skills.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is prepared and stored safely.
• Help cooks with various tasks as needed, including assembling dishes and plating meals for service.
• Support the kitchen staff during busy periods by ensuring all ingredients are readily available.
• Participate in inventory management by helping to receive and store food supplies properly.
• Keep workstations clean and sanitized throughout shifts to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new cooking techniques and improve culinary skills.
• Food Handler Certification
• **MUST SPEAK ENGLISH**

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
